it's sound reactive as well, will try to make a bigger one in the coming months the water stuff is really difficult to work with, so it will take me quite a while before i ever get the usability and reliability up enough to the point where I'd want to sell this to people. I do have other similar products that use this technology like a "bag" which you can find in my other posts which I feel is more developed. I'm using uv cured kafuter glue to keep a lot of this together. The design is pretty open at the moment which means water kind of splashes everywhere, I could make it closed to be safer. I have no idea how to securely attach the rubber hose to the little reservoir up top. I need to spend a few months trial and erroring my way through different water pumps and reservoir designs to get things perfect. Fluid dynamics is a lot to worry about on top of all of the other aspects of this device. An ultimate end goal would be to have a nice device you could hang on your wall and fill up with water, and then it would just drip drip away like a lava lamp or something to keep you entertained without any active input. It will probably take me a year or more to get to something of that level if ever. I've been working with electroluminescence for about a decade, this water type stuff for about five years, and I've had a laser cutter for about three years. I personally think I'm pretty fucking amazing with laser cutting now as I can turn an idea in my mind into a working physical prototype in just nine hours or less depending on the complexity of the task. I'm unfortunately still very weak with circuit design despite being an EE, but thankfully AliExpress has pretty much anything I could ever hope for circuit wise. lmk if anything else!
